 ST BONIFACE CONCERT SOCIETY 

Founded 27 years ago, the St. Boniface Concert Society annually presents a series of concerts by leading artists in Crediton's Parish Church of the Holy Cross.

The 2008 season begins on Thursday 24th April with The Dante String Quartet who will play works by Haydn, Britten and Beethoven

On Thursday 22nd May Donald Maxwell (baritone), Rebecca Rudge (soprano) and Anna Tilbrook (piano) present a programme of songs and duets from operas by Mozart,Handel, Donizetti and Britten and operettas by Offenbach, Johann Straus and Emmerich Kalman.

On Wednesday 25th June The European Union Chamber Orchestra directed by Elizabeth Wallfisch (violin) with John Lill (piano) present a programme that will include Mozart’s Piano Concerto K272 and his Symphony No 40 in G Minor, as well as Handel’s “Arrival of the Queen of Sheba” and the rarely heard Symphony in G by Frederick the Great

On Thursday 10th July The Barbirolli String Quartet play works by Schubert, Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Brahms

On Thursday 11th September Sarah Williamson (clarinet) and Catherine Milledge (piano) Perform works by Schumann, Weber, John Ireland and Brahms

Other concerts £8.00 Children free
