Children & Young People
Toddler Group
Our Toddler Group is run by Crediton Parish Church every Thursday from 2 – 3.30pm during term time and is for any parent or carer with their newborn babies to pre-schoolers. The fun takes place in the Boniface Centre, next to the church. There is no charge, although voluntary contributions are always welcome. Fun is what it is all about. We sing songs, play exciting instruments and of course enjoy the toys. The opportunity to chat to others over refreshments is always there. If you want some company or entertainment or if you just want to relax, we’d love to see you, so do come along, you’ll be sure of a welcome!

Sunday Club
The Sunday Club meets in the Boniface Centre during the 9.30am service and is aimed at children between 4 – 11 years. Everyone gathers together at the start of the morning to share news and introduce the topic of the day, which is usually based on the Gospel reading being given in church. The children then separate into age-based groups to look at the topic further and enjoy a craft activity. There is always the chance to have a break with drink and biscuit. The Sunday Club children go into church at the end of the morning, most receive a blessing and at the end of the service they have an opportunity to share their work with the congregation. In addition to regular Sunday morning activities, in the recent past Sunday Club members have been involved in a number of projects including making three banners for display in Exeter Cathedral, a Lent painting project, a sale of tiles (this raised over £300 for CMS) and preparing displays for the church Flower Festival in June and the Christmas Tree Festival in December. The older children have made a wooden cross from redundant church timbers; this now has pride of place in the Boniface Centre! The children also enjoy drama and have taken an active role in Christmas plays. The monthly Family Service in the Boniface Centre also gives the children an opportunity to be more involved in the services – they regularly help with the collection, and have put together a presentation on Fair Trade for that service. Newcomers are always welcome to join our friendly group for a morning of fun. If you would like to know more about what we do, contact one of the group leaders through the Parish Office (tel. 01363 773226 or e-mail here ).
