Talkback

About Talkback

Talkback is a lay led ecumenical evening service held on the fourth Sunday of the month. It moves around the churches in Crediton. The invited speaker’s message is usually stimulating and sometimes provocative and the evening includes a time of discussion and a chance to “talk back” to the speaker. No one Talkback is quite like another, but that is part of the attraction. The regular attendees would agree that it is usually stimulating and thought provoking.

The 2011 – 2012 Programme

This year’s Talkback, ‘It’s my Story’, will look at Christians working in the secular world. We are asking people from different walks of life to tell us how their faith makes a difference to their attitudes and actions within their work place and how their work influences their faith.

We have a varied and interesting line up of speakers ….

October 23rd Brian Warren, Director of Farm Crisis Network
November 20th David Brassington, Social Worker
January 22nd Terry Nott, Insurance Salesman
February 26th Roy Sambles, Professor of Physics
March 25th Rev Paul Fillery, Ostepath
April 22nd Neil Butterfield QC

On Sunday February 26th in the Congregational Church the speaker is Roy Sambles. Roy is professor of Experimental Physics at Exeter University and a member of Copplestone Methodist Church.  Come along to hear how Roy’s faith affects his work and how his work influences his faith.
