The Lighting Appeal was launched on the 6th March 2010 and closed on Tuesday 6th March 2012 having raised the sum of £142.445.07. The above series of photo’s give just a flavour of the project. We would like to thank everyone who contributed in any way and in particular Allchurches Trust Ltd, Devon Historic Churches Trust,  Friends of Crediton Church,  Garfield Weston Foundation, Viscount Amory’s Charitable Trust, Viridor Credits Environmental Company and the Ironmongers Company (external lanterns) for their financial contributions. We would also like to thank our supervising architect John Scott (Oliver West and John Scott Architects), Neil Blake and his team from our electrical contractor Anthony J. Smith (Gloucester) Ltd and locally based contractors Dean Morgan (carpenter), Phil Martin (plumber), Andrew French (stonemason) and Simon Ridley (artistic blacksmith) for all their advice, help and enthusiasm towards the project. We now have a wonderfully flexible and energy efficient lighting scheme at Holy Cross that befits this nationally and internationally important Grade 1 listed building.
