The bells. Twelve bells. Tenor weight 26¾ cwt in the key of D. Cast at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry to a modified Gillett and Johnson profile. They are hung in a metal frame designed by Messrs Nicholson Engineering of Bridport, Dorset. The same company installed the frame and bells with the assistance of local ringers and supporters. National 12 Bell Striking Competition 2010

On Saturday 26th June 2010 Holy Cross hosted the National Final of the Twelve Bell Striking Competition where nine teams competed for the Taylor Trophy. After a closely contested days ringing the winners were the team representing St Martin’s Guild for the Diocese of Birmingham.
The day was blessed with glorious warm sunny weather and a team of fifty volunteers drawn from the local ringers and others from across Devon ensured that around 400 visitors to Crediton from across the country were able to enjoy a wonderful day listening to some top class bell ringing, sampling some of the best catering fayre Devon has to offer and experiencing the special atmoshere that is Holy Cross Crediton.
